The Outback
Various locations across Florida
Australian themed steak house serving quality food at very decent prices. Try the "Blooming Onion" starter, its great!!

Reviews....

For the best Steak restaurant The Outback takes some beating. You will probably have to wait to be seated but its worth it, all the steaks are great but The Outback Special at about $13.00 is the best value for money. Dont waste your time looking for vouchers they dont have them, but then they dont need to.  (guernseyk@aol.com)

I have been to 5-7 different outback restaurants, and everyone is better than the last!! This is the best steak place I have ever eaten in! I give it 5 stars out of 5!! (mrdo1524@cs.com)

The Golden Corall
Various locations across Florida

Reviews....

For a family dinner buffet a chain of restaurants called The Golden Coralls gets our vote as offering the best value for money. It has one of the largest variety of meats, veg, fruit and desserts available at any buffet we've visited, they also do a selection of steaks but the buffet will satisfy most people. Also Fridays dinners are fish specials and Saturdays Meat Specials Price All you can eat $6 - $8 Look out for vouchers save up to $2.   guernseyk@aol.com

Jungle Jim's

Crossroads, Lake Buena Vista
Excellent burger restaurant. Very good jungle theme, good prices and good service.

Reviews....

Jungle Jims sells the best burgers in Orlando (they have over 100 different choices!). The atmosphere is really good, talking parrots greet you and the theming is unique. The meals are good value and there are a few alternatives to burgers. A great place for family's or adults as there are some very nice exotic cocktails!! 9 out of 10.  marythefairy@hotmail.com

JUNGLE JIMS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT WE HAVE EVER BEEN 2 IN ORLANDO THE STAFF ARE EXCELLENT AND THE SERVICE IS INCREDIBLE AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY A FULL 10 OUT OF 10 THANKU JUNGLE JIMS.

Perkins

Crossroads, Lake Buena Vista (and various other locations)

Reviews....

As eating out is such a big deal in America you would think everywhere is up to a pretty decent standard, but you would be wrong. We arrived to be greeted fairly politely and shown to our table. We immediately ordered drinks which arrived a disappointing 10 minutes later, having had to remind the waiter. The menu was very bland and we decided not to have starters as salads were included with the main meals. Steak and lasagna was our order as the choice was so limited. These meals arrived much later and looked unappetizing to say the least (think school dinners). The waiter totally forgot our salads which finally arrived just before finishing our meals. I do not want to go on about this as it may have been a one off, but I would not recommended Perkins to a starving dog! If you decide to give it a try look out for the "powdered egg substitute" as it is especially recommended on the menu for the elder guest!! 0/10

Bennigans
Various Locations.

Reviews....

We visited Bennigans in the Lake Buena Vista area as the supermarket next door offered 10% off vouchers and it was very near our hotel. It is an Irish themed bar/restaurant that offers great food, and a gigantic variety of beers and other drinks including many British brands. The Guinness, though, is extortionatley priced. The menu is vast and caters for pretty much everyone at either lunch or dinnertime. Our personal favourites were the Country Chicken Salad, the Steak and Shrimp Platter and the Sampler Starters which are easily big enough for four. We think this is an excellent place to visit as a couple or a family. 9/10

John Jackson.
